The world already has the technology to cut global emissions in half by 2030 — what we lack is political will, not scientific capability.

I believe it will be mitigated to some degree but it will not be solved. Every second there are forces moving it in each direction. Most of the wealthy will avoid the worst of it and many of the poor will die.
